Experience: Mr. Ray has over seventeen years of experience as a litigator before administrative, civil and criminal courts. Mr. Ray has handled over 2,000 cases, including professional license law hearings, writs and appeals, civil lawsuits, and a wide variety of criminal matters, from serious felonies to misdemeanors. Mr. Ray has appeared before licensing Boards and the Office of Administrative Hearings throughout California where most license matters are heard. Mr. Ray has been counsel to a variety of licensed professionals from such different occupations as medicine, nursing, insurance sales, real estate sales, therapy, dentistry, car sales, real estate appraisals, accountancy, engineering, elder care and auto repair.

Speaking and Writing: Mr. Ray has spoken at the invitation of bar associations and industry groups. Recently he was the guest speaker for the West Orange County Bar Association and Harbor Newport Bar Association, teaching criminal defense attorneys about the effects of criminal convictions upon professional licenses and license applications. Mr. Ray is a contributor to California Drunk Driving Law, writing about the effects of drunk driving convictions on professional licenses. In 2008 he has been a featured speaker at a series of regulatory compliance seminars hosted for deferred deposit lenders by the California Financial Providers Association.
Memberships and Associations: Mr. Ray is a member of the State Bar of California, the Orange County Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He serves as an arbitrator for the Orange County Bar Association Mandatory Fee Arbitration Committee.
Education and Special Skills: Graduated with a B.A. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. Twice received the American Jurisprudence award for highest grade in his class. Received the Lexis/Nexis Writing Award. Fluent in Japanese and conversational in Spanish. Mr. Ray is a former Rotary Foundation Graduate Scholar.
